These Cookie Dough Icing { has been the favorite prescription at Simply Recipe for over 29 years. Thousands out of people make every holiday. Why? But if you want Cookie Dough Frosting on your cupcake or cake then we are guessing that "sweet' is your thing. What we like about our version of this frosting recipe is that it still has a buttercream frosting taste plus a bit of the brown sugar/flour taste of chocolate chip cookie dough. Give it a try and let us know what you think.

Make the cookie dough: In a medium bowl, whisk the heat-treated flour, cornstarch, and salt together. Cookie Dough Frosting is a type of American buttercream frosting. That means you're putting everything in a bowl and mixing it up. You can cook Cookie Dough Icing using 8 ingredients and 3 steps. Here is how you achieve that.

Ingredients of Cookie Dough Icing

  1. Prepare 10 tbsp of butter-room temp.
  2. You need 1/2 cup of packed brown sugar.
  3. You need 1 1/2 cup of powdered sugar.
  4. It's 1 tsp of vanilla extract.
  5. It's 1 tsp of molasses.
  6. You need 3 tbsp of cream or half and half.
  7. Prepare 1/2 cup of flour.
  8. You need 3/4 cup of mini semi-sweet chocolate chips.

Because this frosting uses two types of sugar and flour it works best to add in the order of the recipe instructions. But, this recipe is still super easy. To stick with the cookie dough vibe, I use a large size cookie scoop to dollop a blob of frosting right on top of the cupcake. This will make for a BIG scoop of frosting.

Cookie Dough Icing step by step

  1. Using mixer, Whip butter and brown sugar until pale and fluffy, about 3 or 4 minutes..
  2. Mix in flour, then add powdered sugar, vanilla, molasses, and 2 tablespoons cream and blend til smooth adding addition tablespoon cream if desired..
  3. Fold in chocolate chips..

You can also use a medium cookie scoop for a more reasonable amount of frosting, but what fun is that? Sprinkle additional mini chocolate chips on top of the frosting. Up next: the cookie dough frosting. Brown sugar gives this frosting the classic "cookie dough" taste along with some vanilla extract and, of course, chocoalte chips. In all honesty here, I may have taken a few finger swipes through the frosting before putting it on the brownies.

So for the rest of me apologize if there is a step by step that is wrong. Hopefully that is what I gave regarding Cookie Dough Icing {.If you have trouble choosing what menu to serve for friends can directly visit the website elcircodelasmoscas{
